College: Laryea has played sparingly throughout his time at Rutgers and was moved to fullback before being injured in 2010. Coming back for a rare 6th season, Laryea is again practicing with the linebackers.

High School: Laryea was a two-time All-City and All-Borough selection. He ran for 1,176 yards as senior.
